Technique and Acro
Our movement class, led by Ms. Saydi with the assistance of Ms. Ava, offers students a dynamic exploration of various dance styles. In this class, students dive into the world of lyrical dance, expressive movement, and improvisation, allowing them to feel the music and express themselves through their bodies. The focus is on learning how to connect with different musical styles and discover the freedom of movement. With personalized attention from both Ms. Saydi and Ms. Ava, students gain a deep understanding of how to interpret music and enhance their creative expression.
Hip Hop - Intermediate and Advanced Level
Mia is a Hip Hop, Jazz Funk, and Heels instructor with a passion for working with both kids and adults. She specializes in helping dancers discover their unique path—whether it’s through the joy and freedom of classes or a more in depth focus discipline of dance training.
With a background as a professional dancer on a pro sports team (Miami Marlins), she brings a strong foundation in performance, mindset, and work ethic to every class she teaches. Her energy and commitment creates a space where dancers are challenged, inspired, and supported at every level.
Holding a degree in Marketing Management, Mia understands how to connect with both students and audiences in meaningful ways like on stage and within the studio community. Above all, she’s driven by the growth she sees in her dancers: the boost in confidence, the sharpening of skills, and the undeniable spark of passion that dance brings to their lives.
Ballroom- Intermediate and Advanced Level
Born and raised in Miami FL, Cristie began dancing ballet at the age of two. As a teenager she transitioned to other styles; Jazz, Latin Ballroom, Contemporary and more. Around that time, she began teaching at the age of 16.
As an adult, Cristie has continued her dance journey by working for The Star Dance Alliance, being a finalist in many auditions such as the Miami Dolphins, Walt Disney World and The Florida Panthers Dance Team, as well as being in a contemporary company in 2022.
Cristie loves to share her knowledge and love for dance with the younger generation and hopes to make a difference.
Baby Jazz & Ballet
Emelie found her passion for dance at 3 years old. She trained at a few studios, however, she is currently training at Dance Attack Miami and she has been on the Somerset Academy Pantherettes dance team for 3 years now, going on 4, under the direction of Stacey Swogger. Emelie is excited to be a part of the first season of Essence Dance Project. She hopes to spark an interest in dance among kids, inspiring them to follow their own artistic paths.
Ballet- Advanced Level
Marisol De León is a professional dancer, ballet and character dance instructor, and choreographer with over 13 years of experience in artistic training. She has built her career at prestigious academies in Cuba and Miami, Florida, standing out for her work as a teacher and coach of young dancers for international ballet competitions, where her students have earned important medals. Her disciplined approach and passion for excellence make her a respected figure in the world of dance.
Ballet -Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Level
Rosalia is a highly trained classical ballet dancer and instructor with over 20 years of experience. She studied ballet for eight years at prestigious art schools in Cuba, graduating as a professional dancer and instructor in 2007. After her graduation, she joined the Camagüey Cuba Ballet, where she quickly advanced to the rank of Principal Dancer in 2014. Rosalia has also held Principal Dancer positions with the Ballet National of Ecuador and performed internationally in Spain, France, Mexico, and the United States.
Throughout her career, she has danced lead roles in many iconic ballets, including Giselle, Swan Lake, and Romeo and Juliet. She has worked with renowned choreographers and participated in national and international ballet festivals. In addition to her performing career, Rosalia has taught ballet at various studios, including those in California and Florida. She now focuses on teaching, aiming to inspire and positively influence the next generation of dancers.
Movement -Beginner Level
Madison Girado is a dedicated dancer who has received numerous title crowns over her 9 years of training. She grew up studying a wide range of styles including jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and ballroom. Currently a Senior in High School, Madison continues to perform as part of her school’s conservatory dance program and is on track to graduate with honors. Her passion for dance has been lifelong, and she especially loves sharing that passion through teaching and inspiring younger dancers.
Jazz -Intermediate and Advanced Level
Melanie has been dancing since she was just four years old, exploring styles such as jazz, ballet, hip hop, ballroom, contemporary, and flamenco. Over the years, she’s gained extensive experience in both studio settings and on competitive school dance teams, serving as captain in high school and later dancing on her college team. Dance has always been her greatest passion, but her love for working with children runs just as deep.
Currently studying psychology at Nova Southeastern University, Melanie hopes to combine her knowledge of movement and child development to make a positive impact in more ways than one. In her classes, she hopes to inspire the younger generation to embrace their individuality, work hard toward their goals, and find a safe space to express themselves.
